The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded Florida International University a $1.8 million, four-year-grant to train masters level clinicians across disciplines in behavioral health to work with underserved and underrepresented communities.

The project will be led by Professor Eric Wagner, Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, and Dr. Adriana Foster, professor, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, who will serve as co-investigator and training director. The grant will fund the FIU Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Fellowship, which will also include behavioral health faculty experts from the College of Arts, Science, and Education and the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
