Congratulations to our 2024 Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA) Honor Medical Society inductees.

This year, 24 students were inducted into the prestigious national honor society – 5 juniors and 19 seniors.

In addition, Dr. Javier Hiriart was honored with the AΩA Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award.
Dr. Hiriart is an internist and a pediatrician with Baptist Health Primary Care, a part of Baptist Health Medical Group.

AΩA recognizes scholarship and other values including honesty, ethics, dedication to serving others, and leadership. Nearly 75% of deans of U.S. medical schools are members of AΩA. The Florida Epsilon Chapter was founded at FIU in 2012.
